"This is a very pleasant hotel, ideally situated for those arriving in Skipton by train. It's virtually the first thing you see when leaving the station. It's a ten minute stroll into the town centre, past a former cotton mill, and there's an alternative route via the attractive canal towpath, easily accessible from the rear of the hotel. My room was a single, very comfortable with an en suite shower, with a Juliet balcony overlooking the canal. Breakfast was good and all staff were pleasant and attentive.I didn't use the restaurant but I'm sure that's a good option if you don't want to walk into town in the evening. "

"The staff straight up deserve a mention: wonderful: from the check in desk to the dining area. Can’t fault the rooms. Lots of choice for breakfast. Okay one point about my dinner fish and chips. The fish had a good batter but the actual meat of it was a tad skimpy. A new fish supplier or just better quality fish? I’m not taking marks off for this as I enjoyed my stay."
