"Good facilities, comfortable, easy to park, convenient key collection, liked the property overall. You need to drive into the village for the pub as the road is not safe in the dark, but it is very easy to park in the public car park at the racecourse, right in the centre of town. Need slippers for the stone floors. Properties a little close together on site, in summer it may be a bit less private if everyone is out on their patios."

"From the first welcome to the final farewell, it was a joy to stay there. Substantive breakfasts, pet friendly, old manor house setting with great views. Good choice of relatively local (less than 10 miles) public houses for evening fare. Already hoping to get back there when next visiting the Lakes, which start only six miles north."
