"The place itself was lovely a little dated in the bedrooms but so clean, short walk to the shambles, food at the hotel was fantastic excellent price, can recommend the Eggs Benedict for breakfast, outside lovely seating area right by the river and last but not least staff are so welcoming very attentive 5 star service will be going back again "

"Decent hotel in a good location, big bed to enjoy myself with the husband and wife threesome I organised through Tinder. Stayed their for three nights and staff were nice, didn't eat in the place as its cheap food. My guests were happy with the room whilst we entertained ourselves. "

"Booked myself and my black Labrador in for 3 nights. Spacious room, nice decor and very clean. Comfy bed with plenty of pillows. The full English breakfast was spot on with good quality items. "Large house with plenty of rooms but apart from the odd door closing the only other noise was from the Minster hourly bells . We were in room 5 with a nice view over the park. Only negative was the bed was not comfy. But all in all a reasonable stay."

"Read poor reviews but we were welcomed by the manager who showed us the room. Nice but a bit compact. Meal at night and breakfast good. Enjoyed our stay and would revisit. There is mould just above the shower on the ceiling and can easily be removed if resolved now. But it does need attention "
