"I read some bad reviews about the guest house so went with an open mind. However the guest house was lovely, clean and warm with plenty of tea and good quality coffee. It's situation to public transport links was brilliant not that we had the chance to use it as we were only there for 1 night. We were there as attending a funeral, the owners let us use the car park all day which was invaluable on this occasion. I will definitely use this guest house in the future. "The house is beautiful and rooms were quiet and nicely decorated. One negative was that there was no toilet paper in the bathroom, so I had to go shopping. The bed linen was very clean and the room bright, even though it was a basement room. Unfortunately, on the morning of leaving, the fire alarm sounded continually, and although the guests waited outside, there was no staff present to switch off the alarm or check the situation. Other than that, a good place to stay. "

"While traveling with our 15 year old son we stayed the weekend in this lovely cottage on the property of Victor an Carina just south of Edinburgh. The hosts are showed wonderful hospitality and the cottage is comfortably set up to sleep three (or four). Great attention to details of all we needed for a comfortable stay including notes for outings in the area and for getting to Edinburgh by bus or train. We definitely want to return to this beautiful cottage with wonderful hosts."
