"Probably is the newest hotel in the area. Very new both inside and outside. The infinity pool is a huge plus. The morning breakfast has variety of food, both perfect for western culture and local culture."

"I liked the location on Merdeka Square, with the riverside, Old Court House cafe and China Street close by, as well as the Borneo Cultures Museum.
My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff at the desk were always helpful."

"Room was clean and staff helpful and really friendly.
Infinity pool was amazing-especially at night overlooking the city.
Only thing that would have made it perfect is if there were complimentary tea/coffee to go with kettle provided."

Overall an amazing place to stay in kuching, especially if your looking for somewhere with some character.
The place is rustic with a few little bits which arent perfect, but place is really interesting, with lot of history and also really clean.
The hotel is near the old town and china town, with lots of bar and restaurants nearby and short was to the river front.
Bedroom are small but everything you need, both bed and bathroom were immaculate! - (photos are from check out).

Booked for 6 nights,stayed for 10.
ALL staff very friendly and helpful, super clean, comfy bed, delicious breakfast with plenty of variations & daily newspaper to read while you eat.
Luggage stored for an overnight trip to Bako National Park for which the number 1 bus stops a few metres away from the hotel...perfect!
Also has an amazing bidet / toilet seat!
5* from us both, thank you

Overall very good stay at a bargain price. All services available and the executive suites were very nice and spacious. The only issue was a persistent bad odour from the bathroom. The hotel is in good location for Kuching with great views over the river. I would certainly stay there again when I go back to Kuching.
They also had a good range of tours for those wanting to explore beyond Kuching which seemed well priced against the local tour companies.

We had a great stay here as a family. Location and facilities are ideal.
A special mention needs to go Wan who was in charge of the pool and pool Bar. He was such a genuine helpful happy person and made some great drinks. He gave us some ideas and local places to try which were brilliant. Thanks Wan.

This Hotel certainly does a good breakfast with wide variety of local foods to include the famous Sarawak Laksa and the usual European/Continental fayre. Assortment of local fruit and fresh lime juice for the health conscious.
The Hotel has very friendly and helpful Front of house staff...indeed all the staff we met were very courteous, polite, friendly and spoke good English especially the owner himself who was happy at all times having breakfast with his guests.

We absolutely loved this hotel, you were treated like royalty the moment you arrived - the porters open the doors for you and take your suitcases; the reception staff are extremely friendly, patient and helpful. The staff always recognise you as you go in and out the hotel and ask how you are. There are a miriad of additional services at no extra cost - for example we went away for one night to Bako and they stored our large suitcases in a room and our valuables in a safe at no charge at all....

I've always enjoyed the hospitality provided by the hotel management and staff at Citadines upland, Kuching. This is my third visit within a short period of time. The apartments are well maintained and clean. I have recommended this hotel to many of my friends and family members and all came back with very good comments.

Room was clean and a good size. Sheets, towels provided. Reception staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful - and were excited for us to see the best of the city and surrounding area. Extremely convenient for many attractions of the city - right on the waterfront, and almost directly opposite the Assembly buildings. Chinatown is just behind - with many delicious options for food. Fantastic.

The best area to stay in Gita is the city centre, particularly around Jalan Tun Abang Haji Openg and India Street.
This central area offers excellent convenience for visitors. It's very walkable and provides easy access to major attractions, a wide array of dining options, and shopping. You'll find many hotels clustered around Kuching Waterfront and the historic streets nearby.
Couples will find this area particularly appealing due to the romantic strolls along the Kuching Waterfront, especially in the evenings when the lights reflect on the Sarawak River. There are numerous riverside restaurants offering pleasant dining experiences, and the nearby Main Bazaar is superb for exploring local crafts and souvenirs together.
For solo travellers, the city centre provides a good balance of activity and accessibility. You can easily visit landmarks like the Sarawak Museum Complex, explore the vibrant street art, and enjoy the diverse food scene without needing extensive travel.
When is the best time to go to Gita?
The best time to visit Gita, Sarawak, Malaysia, is during the dry season, which typically runs from March to October.
During these months, you'll experience more sunshine and less rain, making it ideal for exploring the region's natural attractions and outdoor activities. Temperatures generally hover around 27-33°C (80-91°F) year-round, so it's always warm. The lower humidity during the dry season also makes for a more comfortable experience when you're out and about.
For travellers interested in wildlife, particularly orangutans, visiting during the dry season can be advantageous as the animals are often more active and easier to spot.
