However, the property and room condition reflects the lower price with the room and bathroom being a bit dirty. Pros: location, price, walkability, proximity to food and stores, good AC, clean comfortable bed Cons: the room is incredibly dated and peeling. The room is also not that clean. It was clear that the bathroom had not been cleaned. The ensuite bathroom also was not fully separated by a wall which didn't make sense. The lodge could do with a few fix-ups and then it would be much better eg. shower heads that don't leak; toilet doors that close properly; breakfast just a bit more substantial than just toast and bananas (the butter was old and tainted); verandah windows that work properly. If they fixed up a few things they would get more business and could charge a bit more money and everyone would be happy. It has become tired and does not look like the photo on Wotif. But for not much more you can get a room in a 4 star Kuching Hotel with lots of facilities and big breakfast.
