A very quirky cottage with a great many stairs. There are some things the owner needs to attend to, curtains coming off poles, blind in bedroom not opening properly and the bath needs resealing, it is rather off putting. All the chrome in the property is rusting bathroom fittings and peddle bins.

Having been to the bar area for years I was really looking forward to staying in one of the rooms. The room was very nice, very spacious with large wardrobe and kettle with tea and coffee. The huge bed was so comfy, in fact the rooms couldn't be any better. The bathroom was lovely and spacious too with a great powerful hot shower, and the towels were beautiful. Lovely breakfast with excellent choice to cover everyone's needs. Couple of the staff were miserable as sin and let the others...

It's a nice pub that is part of the Thwaites chain. Menu doesn't cater well for Vegetarians and not at all for Vegans. Disappointing to see them burning coal on the fire in July, really thoughtless. Room was lovely though

We had a really enjoyable stay! The hotel staff went over and above to help us and give great service. I would 100% recommend this hotel. Rooms were clean, huge bathrooms and seriously comfy beds.

Fabulous pub. Super modern clean room outside the main pub. Food delicious at dinner and breakfast and simply lovely staff! What a location just across from the station and in the middle of the 3 peaks. Outstanding!

An excellent inn/accommodation with good food and reasonable prices. An old inn, much extend and beautifully decorated. Room are in the pub and 2 outside buildings. Only issue I would have is parking and access. . The site rises to the rear, both to the parking and the outside buildings. I use a walking stick and could just about manage the slopes and the stairs but severe walkers or wheel chair users would not. There is disabled parking (and electric charge points) availed. Although the building could do with a little tlc in places, our room was large, clean and tidy. The breakfast was excellent and bar food really good too. The bar area is fairly small and well used by locals but we did find a table both nights we were there. The biggest plus for us were the staff who are efficient and friendly and we wouldn’t hesitate to return if in the area. It’s in a quiet area but there are plenty of walks and an ideal base for exploring other towns and sites.

Good location for the National Park and good food.

Country hotel set in beautiful grounds, but modern and comfortable inside, friendly helpful staff and delicious food made for a relaxing short break. This was made even more special by a large delightful room and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on.

Our visit to Homestead was outstanding in every way. From arrival to departure, we could not have had better service and attention. The house is unique and full of history and has been loving restored to the highest of standards. Could not recommend it more!!

Very friendly staff, nice big room (called falow), excellent breakfast, excellent evening meal staff very helpful sorting out a taxi for us, the room was warm due to heatwave so needed to keep windows open so we did notice some noise from the kitchen fans but this could not be helped. Very good car parking. Overall an excellent 2 day visit and would highly recommend.

Lovely little place. Very quite also. Wish the pub was open for drinks at any time but but not your typical pub. Food there was lovely though! Especially the sea bass. Walk in shower was amazing! Great if you need an accessible rooms

This is a very nice place to stay and the Inn over the road is a great place to eat. The rooms and communal areas have been very tastefully decorated and it is very comfortable. Only one point, some of the rooms overlook a road which is surprisingly busy even in the middle of the night - not great if you are a light sleeper.

Had an incredible stay here. The house and surrounding area are stunningly beautiful, and the rooms are very cosy. Loved the amenities provided and the staff were wonderful, down to earth and happy to help with whatever you needed. We booked a room with a conservatory and had an amazing time watching the bats fly in and out of the tree next door. Breakfast was wonderful, as was the dinner service. I can see why you have so many regular guests!

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful place. Lovely, helpful staff, comfortable, clean rooms and a hearty breakfast. What more could you ask for?

It wasn't easy to find - thank goodness for the satnav! - but it was certainly worth finding. Set in tranquil countryside with not a street light in sight, this hotel is a haven from the frantic world. The proprietors are friendly and helpful, the room was of a high standard and the breakfast was as close to perfect as it could have been. we were served tea and coffee in the comfortable lounge on arrival, given fresh milk to replace the uht pots on the hospitality tray and were made to feel...

Dog friendly with area in restaurant both evening and breakfast. Bar area modern but still lots of character with food menu to suit most tastes. Evening meal of ribs and fajitas was good and breakfast good and plentiful.
