"It was lovely and cosy and staff were very welcoming. Loved the bar and my food was delicious. Negative - not sure water glasses were clean as there was water in them. Soon put right when I asked for a clean one from the bar."

"Room was clean, staff were all lovely and very helpful. Parking was easy and we could see our car from our window. Breakfast was amazing, such a great choice and all served with a smile from our cheery waitress. Only downside was the noise from the people chatting in the carpark right under our window on the first night. Also our room’s floor sloped rather drastically in places so getting out of bed in the middle of the night for the loo was like being on board ship, staggering to the middle of the room then climbing back up towards the bathroom again. But as a 3 star hotel it was great. And yes I’d go back again but maybe ask for a room at the back so I didn’t hear the traffic so much "

"So disappointed, hotel looked and was good, staff lived in a different world! No evening meal offered, although we were having breakfast there was none available and no staff until my partner saw a cleaner who didn’t know we were even staying and then no offer to make breakfast. Want to be reimbursed for the cost of two breakfasts."

"I have stayed in a fair few inns and hotels in the English countryside. This was one of my least favorites. It is going for a more royal feel, but the decor is outdated 90s black and silver with wavy mirrors that don’t match the royal seal carpets. The bed was very hard, lumpy, and uncomfortable. It doesn’t not have a great view or pleasant grounds. There are way better quaint inns and hotels in the Dorset area, find a different one!"

"Rooms clean and warm but could do with a freshen up decoratively. Staff were very helpful. My only issue was the lack of disabled facilities. The ground floor rooms were sorted, but no walk in shower was available for us, and the small lift in the bar area was not working, nor did I see anyone attending to it during our 2 night stay. This limited where my family could sit for meals."

"Room clean with comfortable temperature. Shower rather weak stream. Breakfast quite good but I think some items had been cooked a while. Great to have car parking but it got a little tight at times."

"A lovely place to stay. The staff were very helpful throughout. We hosted a large family gathering for lunch and stayed over. We were accommodated in the evening with light food which was not normally available in the evening. Breakfast was very good. Parking is good but limited space."
