We had to figure out some important information ourselves and take the initiative to ask. Also, the restaurant menu was slightly pricy, and our dinner not as delicious. Still, the (free) breakfast buffet had an appreciable variety of good food which we really enjoyed. Also, our room was rather big and comfortable."

"The quality of this hotel was superb, better than the 5* we stayed in previously. The

facilities are immaculate (heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room, ice bucket, four seasons shower etc.) – the only thing is it can get quite slippery due to the tiling so recommend wearing slippers/sea shoes. Breakfast was nice. We had the buffet one night and it was also good. Free shuttle service to Funchal seafront included. We plan to return! "
