"Kitchen / diner area is a great space but the house is tired with walls missing paint, garden overgrown, most of the toilets have temperamental flushes and it doesn’t sleep ten as suggested. 9 people max which was a surprise when we arrived as a booking of ten. Owners did accommodate extra bedding when informed and the property is clean with good bedding and towels. "

"We had a wonderful stay in this delightful cottage overlooking the lake, with passing wildlife, plenty of sunshine, and beautiful views. Both balcony bedrooms shared the same outlook, making the mornings especially memorable. The house is very comfortable for up to 7 guests, with a large open-plan living area featuring a balcony, log fire, TV, big kitchen table, and a well-equipped kitchen. "We booked to stay for two nights in celebration of my sisters pending wedding. We were are a group of 10 women mid 30s to 50s. Thorn house was loved by all of us, it had everything we needed, plenty of space and beautifully decorated. There are shops near by and you get 30% off a specific chinese takeaway when staying at Thorn house. We explored Oxford, which is a 30 min drive.
