Absolutely loved our stay here. The recommendations for dining out were just what we were looking for, the location was within 30 minutes walking to anything we needed in any direction whether it be train, shopping, eating, tour meet ups, etc... It was a bit noisy but that is to be expected in a city and the floors squeaked which didn't bother us as the place was amazing and comfortable. Loved the tea in the room for anytime we needed it and the coffee made to order in the morning added the perfect touch. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!

Lovely property, within waling distance of the Duomo. Francesca was amazing , the rooms well appointed and the breakfast delightful. This B&B is full of character and charm. I definitely plan on returning. I traveled with my daughter and felt very welcomed by Francesca. I highly recommend this property.

Gem in Florence
What an absolutely lovely B&B!! It’s even more beautiful than the photos! Clean, spacious (!!), elegant, conveniently located, and absolutely homey. Delicious breakfast, a welcome bottle of wine... Francesca outdoes herself as a host ! I would love to stay here again. Thank you so much, Francesca!!

Great B&B
Lovely decorated B&B, Francesca our host was lovely and very helpful, booking us dinner and giving us a map of Florence. The continenetal cold breakfast was very generous with lots of pastries, cereal, toast, meats and cheeses. The large room was very nicely decorated and clean with a very comfy bed and amazing floor. We were also given a slightly later checkout when I fell ill on the day we left and pointed in the direction of a pharmacy. Only downside was that the B&B is a good 20 minute walk into the main part of Florence and there was a reasonable amount of street noise, however as the windows appeared to be original I don't think this could be helped!

It was amazing and the receptionist was extremely helpful. It was a great location and breakfast was exceptional. With his tip we were able to have a much more exceptional vacation.

This is a spacious BandB about fifteen minute walk away from Galleria Academia. You are very secure here because there are two keyed areas and a keypad lock to get to your room. The owner is not 24/7, but will make sure you can access when he is not present. The breakfast is simple but good. The room was huge and very comfortable. The parking is a little challenging but available. Owner is friendly and helpful.

B&B Florence
Room spacious with a balcony facing the street. Plenty of hanging space,full length mirror, tv and tea/coffee making facilities. Bathroom also roomy with a shower and ample towels are supplied. Breakfast consists of cereal, toast, croissants, fruit, cheese, meat and yoghurts.Tea or coffee made and brought to your table for you. Francesco the owner was a delight and gave us really good info on parking and places to visit. Hotel walking distance to most local sites and a bus stop is around the corner. Again Francesco will advise on tickets.All in all a brilliant holiday.

We enjoyed our stay at Opera for our short time in Florence. The hotel was a little walk away from the historic center. The room was great very spacious and clean. The best part was the guy who attend it, Giuseppe! He made everything at his possibilities to make our stay confortable. His advise about the city or even the rest of the places to visit! Great host! Awesome room!

The room was nice and large. The location is good (about 15 minutes from train station and also from Duomo). Breakfast was good as compared to other options. Francisco was very nice and professional. The only drawback was the noise from the street overnight. Also, you’ll hear if anybody uses the entrance door.

It was a great location. Close to most everything. Walking is not a problem. The building was very old, and the lift is necessary to get your bags up to the location. Only one person and 2 pieces of luggage fit in the lift. Breakfast left something to be desired, not quite enough. Francesco however, our host, was great! Very helpful, he even helped us book our train tickets for the next leg of our trip! Grazie Francesco!!! The outside of the building was being worked on, therefore, we couldn't leave our windows open. Maybe we just picked the wrong time of year to. Is it. The air conditioner didn't work, so it became rather warm! As I mentioned, close to all of he best spots in Florence. Just down the street, a great family run restaurant called il Nazone! Amazing! Just a few blocks from the Mercato Centrale! Always great finds there!

Couldn't recommend more highly
This B and B is fantastic, the rooms extremely spacious and bathrooms in great condition. We stayed in room Aida and were blown away! The owner and team are fantastic, extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful. The location is only about 15minutes from piazza duomo, so you're not in the centre but for us this was what we wanted as it made our stay more peaceful than being right in the centre. The city is easy to get around and the station around a 15 minute walk. We will definitely be back!

Good B&B close to the center of Florence.
Nice little B&B. Spacious room, good furnishings, good simple breakfast. About 15 min walk to the center of Florence. Fairly close to the train station (10 min walk). Street parking is available close to the hotel, but it takes a little work to find an open spot. But it is worth the effort if you are driving since you don't need to drive into the ZTL area at the center of Florence. We really enjoyed our time at Opera B&B

OK so the room was lovely and the staff wanted to be helpful and was very polite but we had some issues with the place. If you come to stay do not come by car. On the booking it said that there would be free onsite parking. The parking is not onsite; it is street parking a couple of blocks away from the BnB where you can only park in the blue spaces. It is also not free, you must pay (by Italian law) for parking and display the ticket on your dashboard. The staff told us that it would be OK not to pay for parking because nobody checks the tickets - however that is unacceptable and if you don't pay and they do catch you, you will receive a fine from the police and also probably from your car rental company. If you arrive at the beginning of the month you will also need to watch out because the road they recommend you park on is cleaned on the first Wednesday of the month, and if you leave your car there it will be towed away. It is also waaaaaay too close to the ZTL for comfort! We would not have booked if we realised that the parking was so difficult and was definitely not what was written in the description of the hotel. Also when I went for breakfast on the first day there was a mouldy orange in the fruit bowl. The staff seemed so eager to please and yet lacked on some basics of what you'd expect. It was a shame because the room was beautiful and the location is good.

Great owner and location
We had a really wonderful staff at Opera B&B the owner is very welcoming and kind, breakfast every day was really tasty and we were pleased we'd found a hotel that provided it considering the prices in cafes in Florence. Our room was always clean after coming back from our days out and on the one occasion we didn't leave until later in the day we were informed the time had passed for room cleaning which we were totally fine with but it was nice to be told! The location is walking distance to absolutely everything you need in Florence and really easy to get to from the station, we took a short cab ride but you could walk it if you didn't have much luggage. The room was huge and very comfy and the bathroom was to a high standard with plenty of space! On the day we left we told the owner we were going to Pisa and he warned us there isn't much to do so recommended a town outside of Pisa called Lucca, we couldn't have been more grateful for the recommendation because we had a great day there and Pisa indeed does not have anything to do! Overall this is a wonderful place to stay in Florence and given the budget we were on we thought it was a fantastic find!

Bedbugs
This place is completely infested with bedbugs would NEVER stay here again. When I say infested I mean there were 15 bugs crawling on the bed in plain sight when I woke up in the middle of the night and turned on the lights. I know they were bedbugs for sure as I looked them up on google and also had the bites to prove it. The fact that there were so many bugs and bites shows that this infestation has existed for some time and the hotel has done nothing to resolve the issue. Absolutely disgusting and traumatic experience here.

Very sorry for what happened. Bed bugs can be found in any hotels, sometimes. Guests bring them from other places in their luggages. In this case, probably they brought because they didnt want clean their room for three days before they found. Anyway , of course , we did the sanification the same day and all is again fine.

Great Host and good location
The location was 12 minutes walking from the train station. The rooms are comfortable for a bed and breakfast and clean. Breakfast was great! It was continental. The host Francesco, will do everything to make your stay the best. He can coordinate tours or recommend restaurants. He recommend the central market for lunch which was a great recommendation.

Convenient B&B with a first-class host
Opera B&B is an excellent choice if you're staying in Florence, being close to the main bus and train station (10 minutes walk, or a 3-minute bus ride from a bus stop across the street), and a short walk to the main sights of Florence (slightly more than 10 minutes to the central market, and the beginning of the old town). The host, Francesco, is amazing and is so helpful in providing advice on what to see, where to go, what to do, so that you're time in Florence is memorable and thoroughly enjoyed. The breakfast is more than enough to provide you with an excellent start to your day, with cereal, fruit, meat and cheese, choice of teas and coffee, croissants, sweet cake, juices - it's excellent! Francesco helped us book a day tour around Tuscany, and also helped us sort out our transport to Pisa airport for our return home, including booking and printing our bus tickets. If we are to stay in Florence again, we would not hesitate to stay at Opera B&B again.

My Girlfriend and I were at a B&B for the first time, so instantly a little skeptical about how this was going to turn out. But what a GREAT first impression this place was! The owner is SUPER amazing and friendly, staff is great. The room was way better than expected, it's quite a large space. (Superior Double Room) Although the neighbourhood might be a little bit of a walk away from the big attractions (25Min walk to Uffizi Gallery) The location is fairly close to the SMN Train station(12 - 15Min walk). And Definitely recommend, the price is also great. Say Hi to Francesco!

The best place to stay in Florence
A wonderful B&B with access to the major sights in Florence. We had a super spacious, very clean room, with a separate entry hall and large bathroom - very comfortable for myself, wife and two kids. The breakfast was very nice, and parking on the street was available for our rental car. We arrived late in the evening, and the instructions for using a code to access the B&B and our room worked fine. But the best part was Francesco. He was incredibly helpful with suggestions on sites and how to get around. He was always eager to help. When our rental car had a flat tire, he stepped in to help with the rental agency, even walking several blocks to intervene with the repair people when they came to get the car. We would highly recommend this B&B to travelers to Florence.

This b&b was more than I expected. Our host was so nice and helpful. Our room was huge and very clean. Breakfast was pretty simple but very nice and convenient. My only complaint is the location....it's not as conviently located to Florence's attractions as we would have liked but there was a bus stop right next door to make it very easy to travel. Also, our host recommended a restaurant nearby called Tito's and even made the reservation for us....it was the best place we went out to eat in Florence, Rome, Pisa, and Venice!

Flooded in Florence.
We had a great stay other than having a flooding issue in our bathroom twice. A pump failed which was not the fault of the hotel but inconvenient for us.
There was a problem , already solved, with the electricity. Anyway , to prevent the flood, the guest had to inform us promptly... not the morning after...

Everything great... but bedbugs!!
Francesco welcomed us very warmly, and he treated us with great care for the entire stay. However, there was a bedbug on our bed, and my mom got bitten by it all over her body. I wish they took better care of hygiene and bug prevention. Other than that, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the location is also great. You can easily get anywhere around the city centre by walk.
We are very sorry for that. The problem with the bed bugs is not due to the cleaning and hygiene . It could happen that guests carry with them the bugs from other places. Anyway We have already sanitized the room.

The Opera B&B is fantastic!
We had a wonderful experience when we stayed at the Opera B&B this past week. The B&B is near the train station and bus stops, making it a convenient location for us to get where we needed to go. The owner, Francesco, is so warm and welcoming, and made us feel like family. The breakfast every morning was absolutely delicious, offering a nice variety of pastries, fruit, cereal, meats and cheeses, and juices. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed everything about our stay at the Opera, I would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of going to Florence, which by the way was our favorite city of the many we visited during our 12-day trip to Italy.

Great Weekend Getaway!
Good sized rooms, good breakfast spread for free. Super nice owner, very helpful with tourist info, arranging cabs/tours/etc. The hotel is out of the central part of the city, but it's only a 15 minute walk to everything, so it's plenty convenient. Beds were a little hard, but that's being nit-picky. Overall, we'd stay again.
