"Very pretty cottage. Close to the train station and taxis, and the Pembrokeshire Coastal Foot Path (breath-taking views). An easy walk into Fishguard and restaurants, pubs, grocery store, etc. We give the bed an “8” for comfort, but everything else was perfect or better! The owners left us a bottle of wine and some Welsh cookies, there was plenty of hot water, and the locals were friendly, relaxed and helpful."

Lower Town Fishguard is the older, more picturesque part of the town, located around the harbour. It's a very pretty area with colourful cottages lining the narrow streets that lead directly to the water. This historic area is where the French last invaded Britain in 1797, a story you can explore at the Last Invasion Tapestry. The Main Town, or Upper Fishguard, sits on the hill overlooking the harbour. This is where you'll find the main shopping street, West Street, with its local shops, pubs, and eateries. It's also the most convenient location for accessing the Stena Line ferry terminal for trips to Ireland. Families might find the Main Town more practical due to its proximity to everyday conveniences and its slightly flatter layout.
