"Staff were nice. However Room cleanliness wasnt great, i did request another room but they were unable to change us over as we hadnt booked direct - so jad to settle with a room full of cobwebs and very stained carpet. Also the room was far too warm. The first morning we ordered breakfast and it didn't arrive despite us reminding staff numerous times. Eventually gave up and had to leave as we had appointments to to to but for 18.50£ persom not good. Still waiting on refund for this. The other mornings it was grand, although i think my complaint earlier may have had somwthing to do with that. The staff in the Spa were lovely and knowledgeable. Although the spa could do with retiling in places. I wouldnt class this hotel as a 4* hotel more like a 3*. Overall the stay was Ok. They just need to work on their cleanliness and the breakfast service could do with being a little quicker."

"Was looking forward to a quick dip in the jacuzzi after a long day only to be told last entry was 7.15 when it’s advertised as closing at 8pm. Absolutely devastated and probably won’t bother coming next time due to this as we come for a sporting event that finishes late so the pull of the pool is no longer viable"

"We went for the "privilage" room, the best option they have cause it came with a walk in shower. That was a must as my partner has an injury. We stayed 2 nights, the room was so basic, very similar to the Premier Inn just slightly bigger. So bad points, there was a 1 inch gap still there when you close the window, so it was pointless closing it. You could hear the traffic on the motorway and the wind was still blowing through. As we walked out into a courtyard area, my partner slipped and fell on the floor because it was so slippery. They mopped the outside tiling floor and didn't display wet floor signs. It looks good from the outside but the inside was very basic and you pay way more than its worth."

"Firstly, I would say all the staff were excellent, polite, friendly and professional. In our room the complimentary biscuits had a use by date of 31/03/26. They were nearly 3 weeks out of date. There is a water bottle in the room to promote sustainability and not keep throwing bottles in landfill….great. However ours had been washed, not dried and the lid screwed on. The smell of stale rancid water was overpowering. Reception sorted both issues but I would suggest the room hadn’t been used for several weeks and not been checked prior to our stay. Very poor!! We had dinner at the Cast Iron restaurant which was excellent. Our server Izzy who was ever smiling, efficient and attentive. Well done to her. The front of house lady was also very attentive and professional. The breakfast too was excellent with a fantastic choice and great quality. Internet throughout the hotel wasn’t great. Connecting to hotel WiFi was poor and and not an easy process and my own 5G was patchy. Thankfully we weren’t there on business. Overall…mediocre, other than the staff who were excellent."
