"The property was as described and very well presented. The included breakfast was great. This hotel was a good place from which we could explore York."

"Personal choice but didn't like the evening menu choices and breakfast was good if poached eggs were cooked better. Mine still had the clear egg slime on them. Staff were brilliant even down to the housekeeping. Room we had was really lovely, modern and a good size. Lots of space in bathroom and a great shower. Free parking was a real bonus. Really enjoyed our weeks stay at golden fleece hotel"

"The only down side was there,s no lift upto rooms. Abit awkward if you are disabled, and unware of This. Other then that a great stay. Staff were amazing, and loved the wellness centre, and spa. Beautiful hotel all round. Food especially breakfast was perfect. Very clean in rooms too, and comfortable"

"The room and the entire property was very well presented and fresh. The restaurant was also exceptional with top level table service and a great menu. Only negatives are that road facing room was a little noisy during the morning and evening rush hours and the security light in the room was quite intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stop over."

"Our room was tucked away at the end of a corridor even though the hotel wasn't full. The bathroom/toilet smelt of urine and we had to close the door in order for the smell to be contained. I informed the receptionist on leaving and no apology was made just an 'Okay'. The whole place is indeed of refurbishment. However, the staff were friendly and the breakfast choice adequate."
