"I had an extremely poor experience at easyHotel Ipswich and would not stay here again.
Before arrival, I contacted the hotel to add my daughter to the booking but received no response. Instead, I was sent a generic reminder to bring ID, which I did (including my passport), yet no ID was even checked on arrival.
We arrived at 9:30pm and were given a room that was not suitable for a family, despite my prior request. When I raised this at reception, I was told the hotel was fully booked and that my message hadn’t even been read. This lack of communication caused immediate issues.
I had to book an additional room for the following night so my daughter could have her own space, but she was then unable to check in without me being present, which created unnecessary stress.
We were also travelling with a disabled guest, and the parking was a long distance away, which was completely unsuitable.
The service was poor throughout. The coffee machine was out of order in the morning, and when I asked about a refund for the rooms due to the issues, I was met with a receptionist who had a very rude and dismissive attitude.
I was also surprised to learn that rooms are not cleaned during your stay, which is not clearly communicated and not what I would expect.
Due to all of the above, we checked out early (less than 24 hours after arrival) and had to find alternative accommodation.
Overall, this was a very disappointing stay and poor value for money. I am currently pursuing a refund"
