"I stay here on a regular basis when I travel between Glasgow and the south. The hotel is a grand old building in a beautiful little hamlet off the A1 with lots of history. Due to this and the fact its family owned and not part of a huge chain, it’s a bit worn in places but it’s clean, comfortable and cosy with plenty of charm and quirks.. "There was plenty of choice for breakfast and the quality was good. The staff were lovely also. My only minor niggle and it is minor weight only got two tea bags in the room. (I'm a big tea drinker) I'm sure that if I had asked more would have been provided. Plus usually in hotels you get a little biscuit on the tea tray which there wasn't. But a bonus tick in the bathroom was individual shampoo and conditioner and shower gel. More than happy with my stay thank you "
