"Interesting place. Advertised as a guest house on some sites and Bed and Breakfast on others. Unfortunately when we arrived were told breakfast was not included - that seemed strange I booked the room on the pretence it served breakfast - being a "Guest House". I paid top price for this site when compared with other B & B's. Although they did end up supplying cereal for breakfast. But that is not good enough for the price. Also daily service was minimalist. "I’ve stayed at The Strand twice now and loved my experience both times. It’s an affordable upscale hotel in a great central location. Many main attractions are within walking distance. For those that aren’t, there are several tube stations nearby to get you where you need to go. I’ve stayed both as a solo traveler and with family. It’s a perfect stay for both. The Haxell breakfast was great. In the evening, Matt behind the bar made the best cocktails. Highly recommend this hotel."

"I enjoyed my stay here! The location couldn’t be better - the hotel entrance is literally next to Tower Hill Tube Station, and you’re just steps from the Tower of London and within walking distance of Tower Bridge. The room is small, but very ergonomic and thoughtfully designed. The huge, comfy bed by the window, shower, vanity, and closet all fit perfectly into the space, so I had everything I needed without feeling cramped. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. When I arrived, the hotel system went down and check-in was temporarily unavailable, but they were so patient and kind throughout the whole situation. Breakfast at £20.50 was absolutely worth it - great variety, fresh berries and fruit, veggies, hot and cold options, and good coffee. I also loved the iPad in the room. It made everything feel modern and convenient, from controlling the lights to setting the alarm. I’d definitely stay here again!"
