Good Location
Good location. Room was very cramped and the showroom built into the room was tiny. Excellent breakfast.. Would not stay here again as stairs very steep and rear views were depressing.

Comfortable and well run establishment
We stayed one night at the Atlanta in Eastbourne and was very well looked after by owners Mark and Yvette. From the moment I booked I was contacted personally by them to ensure I had received all the essential information including their own personal contact details, that’s real personal service! The room was spacious and nicely decorated, it was a filthy wet cold night outside but the room was cosily warm with even an extra heater left on for us. The bathroom had complimentary gels and soap and free tea and coffee making in the room, so all the little extras you’d find in a much more expensive hotel. People who have complained about the stairs should really understand that these old Victorian buildings along the seafront were built narrow and high so what you lose with hallways you gain with room size and magnificent views. Our room was up a few flights but they were well lit and the steps are nice and wide and carpeted throughout. Finally, we were treated to a very tasty fully cooked breakfast from our friendly hosts which set us up for the day. Thanks again Mark and Yvette for a lovely, albeit brief, stay.

The guest house itself was excellent with the people friendly and knowledgeable. it is located adjacent to the beach and within easy walking distance to the retail precinct and main attractions Parking can be difficult to get but that is to be expected in a resort area

Not shown to our room, which was up 60 steps. Smell of sewage from a very small en suite all night. Room was very small for a double, bed was very low with TV set into the end of the bed. Had to pay extra cost for a room with less steps. Not a very good experience, will not go back.

Good Choice for our 1-Night Stay in Eastbourne
Nice guesthouse, arranged over several floors (steep stairs may be difficult for the less mobile), on Eastbourne seafront within walking distance of the pier. We received a room upgrade on arrival. The room was of a fair size, clean, well-equipped and with a nice bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Room WiFi worked well. Good, and reasonably filling, cooked full English breakfast. General impression was of a well-managed property with attention to detail. A good fit for our needs for this one night stay.

Comfy cosy room for a good rate Good shower Good breakfast, I appreciated the hosts willingness to accommodate my dietary restrictions on short notice. And receiving a cafetière of coffee at breakfast was a nice touch ! Only downside was the bed which I found too small and the mattress a bit sunken and uncomfortable.

Spent a couple of nights here in May 2013. Excellent location and good hearty breakfasts. Could do with a bit of refurbishment (peeling wallpaper, old carpets) but it seems the owner (who is very friendly) is getting to that.

Good price for an overnight stay, hotel is undergoing some renovation so should be nice for the summer guests, room was clean and tidy, good breakfast but please buy some good brand cereals :-)) Overall good value.

Guest house on seafront
Very good breakfast and friendly owner.Lovely sea view from room. I wish I had taken a hot water bottle as in spite of central heating and an extra oil heater, the room was cold probably due to floor to ceiling windows which let in draughts. There were no curtains, only very thin blinds. The ensuite bathroom was new and many of the rooms were being up graded. I could not recommend it now but would be interested to see it again when the improvements have been completed.

Perfect for our purpose
Perfect for our purpose. We are travelling on a once in a lifetime trip round the world and visited Eastbourne to visit family. The hotel is comfortable and functional but the service is uber friendly and helpful. We asked if our daughter could join us for breakfast and it was not a problem. Mark even refused to accept any extra payment. We also had an early morning trip planned and were allowed to have our grand daughter stay overnight in our room again, no extra charge. Our next visit to Eastbourn will DEFFINATELY use this hotel. THANK YOU MARK, great service.

Over all it was conveniently located, the staff were pleasant my room was high up and there was no lift but this was not a problem for me, tv reception was poor, and the kettle too close to the plug socket for my liking, but slept well little outside noise

Great little hotel for homely people.
Very pleasant stay. My 80 year old mum wants to go back. Owner is obviously refurbishing over time. Our room had a sparkling new en suite. Breakfasts were remakably good, possibly best ive had in many B&Bs. Parking was not a poblem as vouchers are provided for a pound a day. Would definitly return for a long relaxing break.

Our stay was ok, the only main issue that we had was that the room was up 51 stairs, I am 57 and my partner is almost 65, to have to climb all those stairs was no fun at all. we found we had to ensure we didnt need to go back to our room for anything, once down for the day we stayed down, I am afraid this issue actually spoiled our stay in Eastbourne.

LOVELY VIEW OF THE SEA AND PIER
The twin room was spacious, with table and chairs in the bay, overlooking the sea. The beds were very comfortable. There was little traffic noise, despite being on the main sea road. It was approx 15 mins walk into the town centre. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good. It was good value for money.

The owner is friendly and helpful and our room and bathroom were very nicely presented and comfortable. There is some refurbishment going on in the stairway, but if it's done to the standard of the room it will be excellent. Would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Timeless and peaceful
I stayed three days here with my son and we had a lovely room with bay window and sea view. The hotel is traditional in the best possible way, is very comfortable and has a timeless quality. We loved it there. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfasts very good. A word of warning -- arrange your parking permit the moment you arrive as the traffic wardens are very vigilant and can give you a ticket even in the time it takes to carry your suitcases upstairs, as nearly happened to us. On the plus side, the daily permits are very good value -- only £1 a day.

The Hotel was right on the sea front and there are wonderful views and only a short walk to town. The owner, Mark and the staff were very pleasent and a great breakfast was also cooked by Mark and a wide chose of things to have.

This B&B is in a great location with the staff very friendly and helpful. No issues at all with service. The rooms could do with some new decor, wallpaper peeling slightly, one of our light bulbs didnt work, and light fittings clearly dusty, more dusty than mine at home! would have been nice to have a table to put kettle etc on instead of a horrible plastic tray that was screwed to the wall, every time you put kettle on it, it felt like it may fall off. The area at the bottom of the stairs could be a bit tidier also. overall i would stay here again, but would be pleasantly supprised if i turned up to find the rooms done up a bit. breakfasts were good, maybe some fresh fruit? out of 5 i would give it a 4.

Excellent B & B run by helpful people. I'd go back.
Good breakfast, room very clean and tidy. Old fashioned and quaint. Great location. Mark, the Landlord, is a very accomodating guy. Really enjoyed our stay at the Atlanta Guest House. It's a lovely walk up the seafront to the Downs and Beachy Head. Eastbourne itself is clean and tidy. They provide a good breakfast, too.

Has the basics
The welcome was very friendly. An unassuming rather basic hotel overall. Price was reasonable. Excellent location on the seafront. Pier was only around a five minute walk. The room was on the small side, needed more hooks, rails and storage options, the bed could have been firmer and in general it could have done with a facelift. Hot water was luke warm in the shower and sink didn't always function too well. But it was comfortable enough for the few days of stay. Hot chocolate was a nice added touch. Room could have been serviced by chambermaid every day. Dining room was excellent with a very good full English plus a good mix of cereals and jam/marmalade. Cheap vouchers were offered for street parking which was very useful.

Good night`s stay
I am not going to recommend this guest house simply because I never recommend anywhere I stay, as everyone`s standards and expectations are different. However, I will say that I have no adverse comments to make other than the coffee at breakfast was terrible!! The rest of the breakfast was very good, substantial and nicely cooked. The king sized bed was good and the room (sea view) was large and clean, although a larger TV would be more user friendly. Free car parking available on the street (6.00pm--8.00am ) directly outside the guest house.
