"It was mostly clean, bed was clean, facilities were. I could see spills on wall, but otherwise quite clean. Bathroom very clean and shared kitchen kept well. Was in area a little ways from city centre but not too much of a walk from the end of the Royal Mile. A safe area, coffee shops and groceries nearby."

"Clean room, close to public transportation, beautiful views. Breakfast was good. Restaurant was closed for a private event (no prior notice given) when we arrived, which was disappointing as we’d had a long travel day and just wanted to get dinner and some rest. The front desk person that first evening wasn’t especially helpful. Quiet location. Decent stay overall."

"Stayed with wife and 2 children (20 and 23) in the family room in July. This apartment is across the street from the hotel. Pros: the room was huge with a 2 story ceiling, Beds and pillows were good. King bed and a bunk bed. Very clean. On a quiet street one block off a main street. Staff was very nice and helpful. Cons: the bathroom. It was clean and the shower was fine. The sink was tiny, no place to put toiletries, but the worst thing was it had 2 faucets, one hot and one cold, so you had to decide if you were going to have real hot or real cold water when washing. I got adept at swishing my hands from under the cold water to under the hot to make my own lukewarm water. I couldn't figure out how to turn on air conditioner. The location was fine, about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station and Royal Mile. Did not have breakfast here. The neighborhood is very safe. I might go back, but at $500 per night I expected more."

"It was a lovely sized room in house. I loved the flowers outside the window. The lounge/diner was a lovely space with great amenities. Staff were very friendly and always ready to help or share their knowledge. Public transport was excellent into the city centre and to Portobello. There were also local shops within easy walking distance. The area felt very safe. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you."

"A clean basic room, the bed was small but very comfortable. There was a separate kitchen/dining area with all you needed if you wanted to cook. This room also had sofas and a TV it. Complimentary toiletries and tea and coffee were available at reception. Great location for the city centre."
