Very handy for visiting Beamish Museum and the locale. Splendid building in good condition and very clean. Nice and arm in all rooms. Food is very good - try the annexed Stables Restautrant. Value for money booking through Expedia.

Easy access to the car park, which was priced at £9 for 24 hours. Excellent facilities and the location was close to the centre. We would definitely book to stay again.

The Avenue Inn is a restored public house with outstanding food and great service. Because it was a public house, some of the spaces are cramped and have low ceilings. But the Village of High Shircliffe, is close to Durham making it easy to access the city.
