From arrival to departure we were met with really attentive staff throughout the hotel who provided professional service within an informal friendly manner. From reception to dining room, breakfast and cleaning staff there was an informal relaxed atmosphere with a professional delivery. This was the backdrop we wished for to enable us to have a relaxing break in a lovely part of the country away from the stresses of everyday life.

Just got home from a weekend here and it was absolutely beautiful... breakfast options were great and swimming pool, sauna and steam room were great. My only bad point was the mattress wasnt all that but maybe its be being fussy. Netherless a beautiful place and we will be back in the summer

This is a traditional hotel close to the centre of the town. Very comfortable and the staff were excellent, The only problem was access to the car park at the rear of the hotel was by a number of flights of stairs and as I am in the over 80 group I found this rather a nuisance. Younger generation will find it less of a problem.

Great place to stay for lay overs at Edinburgh!

Absolutely fantastic service, staff were were superb. Will definitely return and recommend to all family and friends.

We really enjoyed our stay, the food was great, and the beer choices excellent. The room was basic, I loved the old school bathroom. Perfect transport links for trips into the city, plus a very dog friendly area with walks along the Water Of Leith. Our dog was made very welcome. Will stay at the Riccarton Inn again

Great stay cook service good food good bar and bar food. But watch when u book and pay they offer a full cooked breakfast for £10 more and u don't get it! U have been warned.

Our trip to Chain Runner is always brilliant that’s why we always stay at the Chain Runner when going to Livingston. The only problem was we were beside the door where people were going upstairs & they would let the door close on it’s on so there was a fare bit of banging. Perhaps they might change the door mechanism to a soft close.

Booked this at the last minute on impulse as an absolute bargain offer. I didn't have particularly high expectations given the low price & some less than happy reviews. How wrong could I be!! Excellent location in Morningside close to Pubs/Restaurants so no need to worry that food is not served on the premises. The rooms are beautiful and cater for all your needs, definitely a warm and luxurious feel to them. The owners have provided a ‘snack room’ for guests which is a simple but genius move on their part which has biscuits, crisps, fizzy drinks, water and milk (to name a few) which is part of your price. Lovely relaxing quiet Inn best food ever will definitely be back

This was my first ever time staying at a b&b the owners were lovely and very attentive. The brekky was nice and the room was very comfortable.
