"Als die Rezeption überraschenderweise gegen 17 h am Ankunftstag nicht besetzt war, wurde die Schlüsselübergabe per Telefon problemlos durchgeführt. Am nächsten Morgen allerdings waren Gastraum und Rezeption um 07:30 immer noch geschlossen. Auf Rückfrage wurde auch von anderen Gästen mitgeteilt, dass der Mitarbeiter verschlafen hat und dies auch schon häufiger vorgekommen ist. Wir sind daher ohne Frühstück abgereist. Da wir sowas noch nicht erlebt habe, kann ich nur das enttäuschende Rating...

"Nicht gefallen hat uns das wir keine Hausnummer in den Reise Details hatten. Und es wurde uns auch kein Zugangscode für den Schlüsselkasten gesende. Unter ihrer angegebenen Telefonnummer war keiner zu erreichen. Erst durch Hilfe eines netten Mieters aus dem vorderen Gebäude ,hat er sich bemüht für uns den Schlüssel Code herauszufinden was dann auch geklappt hat. Gebucht war für 4Erwachsene und zwei Kinder. Bettwäsche war aber nur für 4 Personen aufgezogen. Fazit von unserer Seite aus nie wieder...

"Just the most beautiful hotel! I loved the Art Deco interiors I love a hotel that also has a story. The only thing that I would ask for is, there’s a video playing on the tv that’s all about the hotel and it’s history, it’s a shame it didn’t then repeat in English or maybe there was a subtitle option I missed. Our first trip to Hamburg, we will definitely be back and will definitely stay here."

"Arrived and travelled in from Hamburg central station, Berlinner Torr is nearest station . At time of review there is an awful lot of road works and rebuilding of the transport hub there. This meant lugging suitcases up and down about 70 steps. However if you go out the hub and further along main road there's a cut through in a park with ramps. Hotel staff friendly and helpful and place was spotless, nice modern contemporary vibe to the place. Breakfast was great with a large buffet selection of hot and cold foods. Enough to get you started in the morning. Could do with tea and coffee making facilities in your room, that's the only negative I could find about this place."
