"Our night at the Seamill Hydro was absolutely lovely. Stayed in a deluxe Seaview room and the views were stunning despite the weather. Loved enjoying a quiet drink in our room while doing some seal-spotting. The meal in The Orangery was a really highlight and the staff could not have been more attentive. Food was delicious! "A five day stay to watch The Open Golf championship at Troon. The hotel was not able to provide TV coverage of the golf which was an oversight given the majority of guests were golfers. The hotel also took advantage of the golf to charge a premium for standard rooms. It may be better value to travel in from further afield during championships."

"A nice wee hotel. Nicely decorated and lovely views out over the water. We left the window open overnight and we could hear the waves which was bliss! Dinner was also lovely. Slight negatives - the mirror in the bathroom is far too high, even for a tall person. No blind on the smaller window in our room so very bright in the morning. Breakfast finishes too early - 8.45am! "We had an excellent 6 day stay in the spa resort hotel. The service was impressive, nothing was too much bother and all staff were consistently helpful, kind and keen to deliver to whatever was needed. The breakfast buffet was best I've ever had . Smoked salmon and haddock with poached eggs no extra charge. Cruize restaurant all geared up for families and Brambles restaurant evening service was superb. We went 3 times .
