"Bedrooms are tired. Second stay in a row where the tap in the bathroom sink is not working. New restaurant is lovely but breakfast items ran out quickly and did not get replenished for 20 minutes. Lots of queuing and disgruntled guests. Requested crispy bacon and it was not and only looked cooked on one side. Dinner took one hour to have mains served. Housekeeping were very good as my son was ill and cannot fault them. Thankful for their swift response. Lovely areas of renovation but is still in a transitional period of finding their flow of service. And for the rising prices… bedrooms need better taken care of and should be next for renovating. As a guest of Seamill Hydro on many occasions. And I was married there, so I do love it. Just needing tweaks to get the service back to a standard and rooms need TLC to justify the pricing. "

"I was by myself, the staff were all very attentive and helpful. The hotel was warm comfortable and clean. The food was well presented and delicious."

"Great start to the stay with excellent welcome from all at the front desk. Bags whisked up to the room while I was still checking in. Chaps at the door always had a smile and a welcome greeting. Room was tight but well maintained with a good view towards the golf course. bar was busy but efficient and I thought the food served there was very good."

"The hotel is well located for lovely local towns, as well as being right on the beach for nice views and / or walks. The room was extremely spacious and well equipped, and breakfast was very nice - my only complaint would be that it would be ideal to be served a bit later for those travelling for leisure (who like a long lie!). I had an amazing massage at the spa and was lucky with a warm sunny day (in April!), meaning I felt like I was abroad as I sat in the spa pool / sun lounger awaiting my treatment. Free car parking is a bonus. Not cheap but definitely worth it!"

"Overall experience fab! My problem is solely with Hotels.com as when we arrived after booking a room for two adults and a child and then got to our room to see one double bed I popped and asked the reception about it and the (I think) manager of maybe the place or restaurant had a look for me and explained once booked through hotels.com they just pick a room and unfortunately our family rooms are all booked out and have no put up beds. With this we thought, look we are here one night, let’s just make it work,so we did. We met some friends downstairs in the restaurant at 5 for a meal and my goodness the food!! I had Katsu chicken and it was to die for. So so tasty! Followed by a chocolate brownie, wow! The food was top notch. Hubby had a bacon and cheese burger and our daughter had the kids nuggets and they also both enjoyed very much! We then went up to our room and our view was just stunning, overlooking the sea and both in daylight and at night was beautiful! We got up in the morning and there was a HUGE range of breakfast items laid out (continental) from toast, croissants, pastries, yoghurts, a good variety of cereals and so on with hot and cold drinks. My husband had the Scottish breakfast and I had eggs Benedict, again - stunning food! Would definitely come back to stay but would book direct! Thank you all"
