Hotel Riu Plaza London Victoria

10/10 Excellent

"The room was more spacious than I expected for London, with a location spitting distance from Victoria station and the Wicked musical. I especially appreciated how nice the a/c system was since it was so hot out (for London); we're from Florida so it wasn't that hot, but also we're used to strong a/c and people's definition of that various widely here. Lots of great food in less than 0.5 miles walk. Their breakfast room was huge although they said it gets busy later. I enjoyed the many options, especially the Nutella dispenser! Not too many pastry choices but breads and hot options, tea and coffee, cereal and juice. One of our party has Celiac, so we appreciated their gluten-free selection."

"Excellent breakfast. Clean room, if a bit small for two people with luggage, but it is in a good location, near a tube stop and the British Museum. We were initially on the top floor during a heatwave, with no air conditioning and limited air flow, which was so stifling hot, but the staff kindly moved us to a lower floor which was cooler. Quiet room."

"What could be more convenient? This hotel on the Thames, is near several bridges for easy access to major tourist sites including Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, the London Eye, St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. AND, many convenient, quality site for dining nearby and in the hotel itself."

"Just had a 3 night stay at Park Plaza Westminster in a studio room with a Big Ben view. Room was really spacious and view was spectacular. Bathroom was big and had both a shower and bath. The studio had microwave and some plates and cutlery for use of you wished to eat in your room. Amenities at the hotel were very good with options for casual dining or full restaurant experience. We had breakfast included. It was your basic big hotel fare. Adequate but not setting any high notes. Chefs signature breakfast option was porridge... Location was very good. Able to walk to most areas, London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square etc. Also plenty of food and restaurant options within an easy walking distance. Pricing we paid was on the more expensive side in my opinion but did pay extra for Big Ben vew (well worth it) and breakfast option. Hotel was very busy on the weekend we stayed but this did not impact anything that we wanted to access. The overarching reason for our stay here was the view of the Big Ben and to that end it delivered."

"This is a great place to stay in the Bloomsbury area of London, it’s a very central location. It’s easy to get to many attractions from here on foot, by bus or on the tube. The hotel itself is massive and the rooms may be a bit small but it’s very well staffed, has a great buffet breakfast and all the amenities you need. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Of the three of us staying in the room I’m the only one that had some wifi connection issues. This is my second stay here in 2 years and I’ll definitely stay again for our next visit. Rob N"
