An architectural artpiece in the midst of nature
The hotel is spread 1Km out on the side of a hill over looking the mesmerising lake which will give you views over Dambulla or Sigiriya rock in the distance.
Location: Getting to the hotel isn't much of a difficulty as it's well known to a majority of locals.
Suite: they've informed that I was upgraded (which is always welcome), very spacious had a bedroom and a separate lounge area and a large bathroom (separate jacuzzi & shower) but was surprised that it was on a lower floor with limited views (large windows overlooking greenery but no lake), the issue here is that I booked the lower class room because it advertised views over the lake.
They took a bit of time to allocate me to a different room.
Panoramic room: On the same floor as the pool (5th), with a small balcony with a great view of the lake, bathroom was spacious with a jacuzzi / shower combo with the same view as the balcony which was amazing (I did have a bit of difficulty turning on the jacuzzi but managed to eventually), the only problem here was that the shower would leak quite a bit.
Dining: Breakfast & dinner buffets would slightly change from day to day and was very adequate with a wide variety of options, probably the best managed aspect of the hotel in terms of service.
Areas of improvement:
-Seeing that the hotel was quite huge, a description of the hotel grounds would've helped a lot, seeing that they have several pools as well as a nature trail.
-A/C needs a bit of improvement.
