"Beautiful setting. I was a bit confused about advertised lake who is actually not on the property and holds little for guests. Pool area was wonderful very quiet with trees and birds. Heinz was most helpful in sugges outings and arranging driver. A few niggles: Breakfasts like all in Sri Lanka could use some tweaking with toast presented first to go cold and items not offered but available such as tomatoes or bacon: readily provided when requested. Spider life is rampant so staff could pay more...

"When I arrived at the property, despite me canceling my previous reservation, they were confused as they saw two reservations, and even after me showing that I had canceled it, they still gave me a hard time. They should have better communication with the booking agency so that this does not happen to someone else in future. The room was OK but nothing spectacular. Definitely not a five star hotel by any means ."

"A great place to stay while traveling to Dambulla for the Sigirya hikes or cave temples. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating. I highly recommend getting a massage at the spa. This was one of our favorite massage experience as the staff is very experienced and caring in their session."
