Clean rooms, however, the pool area was a little tired and cushions needed a clean. The staff was also excellent and really tried to do everything to make our stay perfect. However, the rooms needs maintenance and a deep clean - one of our rooms had wholes in the ceiling so insects would fall down and ants everywhere. Piscine sympa, restaurant sympa par contre le dernier jour, un employé est rentré dans ma chambre quand nous étions au petit déjeuner, mon chauffeur qui m'attendait l'a vu rentrer et il n'avait rien à y faire. Nicht nur ein paar Mitbewohner was im Wald ja normal ist, hier wurden die Ecken seit Jahren nicht sauber gemacht. Ist auch irgendwie abseits gelegen Transport funktioniere nur wenn man ins Zentrum rein läuft, wo man sich im dunkeln nicht gerade sicher gefühlt hat. Grande Piscine avec quelques transats et joli restaurant sous un grand porche pour les petits dejeuners et les diners. Breakfast correct mais toujours le meme et au bout de trois nuits, ça devient lassant. Restaurant dans la moyenne, ok pour dépanner mais on trouve beaucoup mieux et moins cher en allant sur la route principale vers Sigiriya. Op het hotel terrein wordt afval inclusief plastic verbranden ook een stapel waardoor Zwarte rook over het terrein trekt. De receptie is erg traag, administratie niet op orde waardoor betalingen niet duidelijk waren. Ook moesten we half uur wachten bij uitchecken voordat iemand op een scoot kon komen. Ontbijt was karig, geen keuze. At check-in, we were brought to a room with the door already open and the air conditioning going. I had booked a room with a second bed, which this room did not have, so we were brought to another room with a second bed that also had the door open. As a result, there were some small flies in the room. Also, we did not realize until after the front desk had closed that there were no sheets provided for the second bed. We had to request those the next day. Also, the check-out process was a bit long and hectic. There seems to be some management issues. However, the staff was friendly. There was a slip-up on my part too, as the Wi-Fi was regularly not working. Due to our language barriers, I became frustrated at not understanding why the Wi-Fi was out. Sri Lanka is currently experiencing power outages in regions, so be prepared for this.
