Hotel Mulberry

8/10 Good

"The hotel is placed in a very convenient quiet position. The front staff are very nice!! The rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast if great!! The gym is old and needs to be repaired which was a little disappointing. The pool area is nice, but not enough pool lounges and the decking needs to be replaced. Some of the decking is falling apart and a little dangerous."

"Sunning views & property with an incredible staff! We did a quick one night getaway and was such a worthwhile experience for our trip to Nepal. Highly recommend staying here for an unforgettable time seeing the Himalayas."

Oasis Kathmandu Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel is clean, close to many restaurants, shops and central to all things tourist life but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood area so very quiet at night. The restaurant has good food too. If you want authentic Nepalese cuisine ask for it as normally they tone down the chili for the tourists. Breakfast was good. AC works great too as well as fast WiFi. Staff and Service were exceptional as they kept our bags for a few days when we were trekking tigers. We would stay here again."

Hyatt Centric Soalteemode Kathmandu

"Very Nice staff and very nice facilities. We had a great stay. I would recommend to anyone as the best place to stay in Katmandu"

Airport Himalaya Boutique Hotel

8/10 Good

"Very close to the airport and the hotel has a shuttle. Very clean and friendly staff. Only two things I wish had been different- they called at 8:15 to say the breakfast buffet is ready. They serve til 10:00 and I was sleeping. The shower never got warm. The tv is bigger than other hotels and has internet. There are many restaurants nearby. I will return."

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Dakshinkali?

The best time to visit Dakshinkali is during the dry season, from October to March, for comfortable weather and clear skies.During these months, the temperatures are mild, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it ideal for exploring the temple complex and the surrounding natural areas. The air is generally crisp and clear after the monsoon, offering excellent visibility for scenic views of the hills. This period also coincides with several important local festivals, providing a deeper insight into the local culture. For those looking to combine their visit with trekking or outdoor activities in the Bagmati region, October and November are particularly good. The trails are dry, and the lush greenery from the monsoon is still present, creating picturesque landscapes. This timing is especially suitable for couples or solo travellers who appreciate comfortable conditions for exploration and photography. While the monsoon season (June to September) brings lush landscapes, it also means heavy rainfall, which can make travel and outdoor activities less convenient. Similarly, April and May can be quite hot and dusty.
