I have an allergy to Gluten and the chefs went out of their way to make me special food for the entire trip. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel like this was our second home. Good value for money. I didn’t have a chance to try out the spa. Breakfast was very respectable with a nice omelet station and plenty of fruit and options. Rooftop bar had a nice pianist one night and the view of the mountains is gorgeous. You need a sweater up there and the water is freezing so you won’t be lingering. Location: about 35 min from airport and reasonable to go seeing local attractions like Boudanath and others. After a very long and stressful journey to Nepal we arrived at noon and checked in. But unfortunately, our airline misplaced our baggage so we had a long day of waiting ahead of us. The hotel staff were so incredibly helpful and supportive from the beginning, checking with the airport for us on the status of where are bags were and what not. The hotel operations manager himself even escorted/drove us back to the airport to collect our bags when they finally arrived in Nepal late in the evening! The hotel itself was lovely, clean and had beautiful decor. The overall vibe really helped calm us in our hours of feeling very unsettled, given our situation that we were in all day. The roof bar and pool had absolutely amazing views and had a great selection of drinks and some nice things to eat and the restaurant downstairs had a good selection of local and international dishes to cater to all tastes with a lovely outside terrace, full of beautiful flowers to sit in and have drinks after dinner. We have a few more days back in Katmandu in a week or so, and hope to stay again! We really can’t thank you enough for your smiles and kindness.
