The Windmill Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Nikki, Sophie and Anya were what made this stay. They were so friendly and so helpful! Nikki really went above and beyond for us, accommodating everything we needed. They were all very kind and patient with my young daughter. The room was exactly what we wanted and as advertised. The food and drink selection was fab too and reasonably priced! Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area."
Kentisbury Grange

"The room was good. The staff were excellent,nothing was too much bother for them. The food in the restaurant was very good, but slightly over priced. The wine choice was excellent with very good wines at a reasonable value. If you just want a chilled stay then Kentisbury Grange will be perfect as it is not far from the beaches and towns of Ilfracombe.barnstaple. Their is no other amenities at this hotel.Breakfast was excellent. Good ingredients and freshly cooked"
The Bath Hotel Lynmouth

"We ensured we arrived before 17.00 hours as the hotel has no-one on reception from 17.00hrs onwards. We felt this was a little restrictive although the Ancient Mariner staff were available to a later time in the evening. We found it convenient to have restaurant and bar food available at the Ancient Mariner and can thoroughly recommend it too. Breakfast is served between 8.00 and 10.00, a decent interval of time. The staff were pleasant and friendly but service for the hot food was a little slow at times. The choice of cereals, juices, fruit, croissants was plentiful and the hot food was very tasty. The room was not huge (after all we were in the 'Snug'!) but it was sufficient, while a second comfy chair would have been welcome. The WiFi worked perfectly well. The hotel was a very convenient base for exploring the beautiful local area. Again, the staff were good at directing us to the local car-parks and advising us we might consider a 4 day pass from the tourist office, Worth noting that car-parking is free by the roadside from 1st November to Good Friday."

"The room was clean & comfortable staff & food was quality the manager (Sam) was very helpful and knowledgeable loved are stay if it wasn’t for the 3 & 1/2 hour journey we would definitely stay more regularly 😩"

"This was a wonderful stay, the staff could not do enough and when I expressed a question about whether I could stay another night, the young man looking after me went out of his way to rearrange, speak to his manager and make it so that I could stay in the same room. I slept really well, to the point of asking where they got their mattress and pillow from!"
The Captain's House

"The Captains House is in a beautiful location. Very close to the river. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. We had a room at the side of the building with its own little patio."
