I had a lovely stay at the Exeter Inn! Michelle and Martin gave me the warmest welcome, and the whole place felt instantly inviting. I met up with friends from Bampton for dinner, and the Festive Christmas menu was excellent — beautifully cooked and full of flavour. I stayed in the Brook bedroom, which was immaculate and thoughtfully supplied with plenty of toiletries. A genuinely delightful visit and I’d happily return. Thank you !

Lovely stay

I had a lovely stay here and cannot fault a thing about it. I stayed on a Tuesday night which is their supper club evening, the restaurant was fully booked but they managed to squeeze me in. The food was lovely and really good value at £19 for 2 courses. The breakfast was also delicious! The bed was incredibly comfy with a good selection of pillows. The toiletries in the bathroom were locally sourced and really good quality. I would 100% recommend and hope to return myself soon.

Check in was advertised at 3.00pm, arrived at 4.50pm but room was not available & hadn't been cleaned as the cleaner didn't turn up? Menu was reduced as the chef didn't turn up either and no toilet rolls in the bathroom. I gave my breakfast order the night before but it was not passed onto the cover chef in the morning, so in all not a great experience but...would I stay there again...definitely yes. Michelle and her team were amazing, they did everything possible to make my stay enjoyable and it was. The room was clean & spacious. The hotel is full of character & is attracting locals & passers by. Michelle and her partner had just recently taken over and need time to settle in and put their stamp on the business. Charming inn

The room was very comfortable. The staff were so kind and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant there and it was excellent. The hotel is situated right on the road so there was some traffic noise (we had the windows open) but it was no problem for us. Just a very charming place!

Fairly small, rural old British pub and Inn. It has been an Inn since the 1700s. Perfect if you want a traditional old British Inn experience. We loved it. Family group of five in two rooms.
