Check-in straight forward and room clean. Evening meal in restaurant was good. Breakfast not so good - very slow service, slow to cook and really felt like they would rather we did not have breakfast there

ONly stayed for 1 night. Went through hotels app but it did not transfer my contact details correctly with the result hotel staff could not contact me. Staff were fantastic and even though I arrived at 1030 and they had been working since 7am they were still smiling, warm and welcoming despite the long day. Room was warm clean and very comfortable. BReakfast was great. Will stay again

Staff - fantastic, couldnt have been more friendly or helpful. Bedroom very basic, tired and the door looked like it had been broken into once or twice and offered little confidence from a security prospective.

I have stayed here before and I use The Waterloo Arms every time I'm down this way . The room is always clean and fresh feeling. Stayed during the May heatwave, so I could of done with being supplied with a fan. Yes I should of asked but luckily I carry one with me. There is only recommendation I have for the establishment. When staying on the ground floor, all you can hear is the loose paving slabs as people walk over them. Because of the amount of noise, I would say all are loose. Food from the pub is excellent.

The room was very good, clean and tidy. Good tea and coffee facilities. Good food down in the restaurant and excellent service by staff! The only thing that let it down slightly was the bathroom which was in need of a refurbishment as wood has been used to trim the base of the shower and it was warped and blackened from the water/steam. Other than that it was a fantastic stay.

It has only been 2 months since my last stay here and it was as good as ever. Staff as always were really friendly and make you feel at home. I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening meal as well as a great breakfast. A decent night's sleep set me up for the day and I look forward to coming back here.
