"The property is in a brilliant location which is ideal for Barry and Barry Island. The staff are great and helpful. The hotel just needs an update. It would be great if the Bistro was available for guests. The price is really good value so the decor is ok."

"Friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, clean room, very comfortable bed, excellent shower, delicious breakfast. Reasonably priced restaurant with a good range of quality food for your evening meal. We were only there for the one night visit because we wanted to see the shoebill stork at Exmoor Zoo but would definitely return if we going to be in the area again."

"Northfield was delightful! I wish every hotel was filled with such kind workers and friendly staff. The food was very good. This hotel even hired a musician to entertain its guests. This staff goes above and beyond to make sure their visitors have an enjoyable stay. The room was very large with a beautiful ocean view. The hotel was clean and tidy. I give this hotel 5 stars!"

"The George combines a beautiful old building with clean, fresh interiors which are comfortable and thoughtfully planned - plenty of storage and hanging space, plenty of space in the bathroom for damp towels etc. I visit annually and it's a pleasure to see the same staff each year I visit! A comfy bed with padded headboard (ideal for reading), Smart TV and decent wifi add to the convenience. My room overlooked South Molton's main street but the double-glazing is so effective there was no noise. Breakfast is delicious and service is prompt and friendly. Some of the rooms have a couple of steep steps up to them so those with mobility issues might want to let the hotel know so they can allocate rooms accordingly."
