I ordered a bottle of wine and they sent another that was 3 times the price without telling me.
They threw us out because they said they had to set up for breakfast while they had other tables still sitting. We were still drinking our wine.
The only person that was nice at this place was the person at reception.

"We truly enjoyed our stay. We arrived past 1 AM and their front desk staff checked us in very quickly. We were very impressed by the warm welcome. "Set in a quiet area and an easy short walk into town. Nice pool but very few sun loungers and not very much shade. Good continental breakfast which can be taken on the outside terrace if you want to. Diana and Elisabeth on the front desk are very helpful indeed. A pleasant stay for a few days whilst exploring the area."

"Third time in Lucca and couldn't fault this hotel. Great location for (numerous) laps of the walls. Comfortable rooms, good choice of food and drinks for breakfast and surprise complimentary drinks / cakes in an afternoon. Hot tub and outside lounge area meant we could relax outside. Also complimentary bike hire means you save a fortune from the local bike hire shops. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again. Thank you. "

"Hotel San Marco was a wonderful place to stay in Lucca. The location is great—just a short walk from the beautiful walled city, making it easy to explore. The swimming pool was a nice bonus, perfect for relaxing after sightseeing.
Fabio at the front desk was outstanding—friendly, helpful, and even taught us a few phrases in Italian. He also gave us great recommendations for places to eat inside the walled city, which turned out to be some of our favorite meals in Lucca. The lady at the snack bar and breakfast service was equally delightful, always courteous and providing exceptional service that made mornings feel special.
