"Wonderful hotel - apparently it's been recently refurbished. That's according to the taxi driver who took us to the airport. Previous reviews say this hotel is somewhat tired and rundown - IT IS NOT! Our room was wonderful and large (Executive room) which we needed as we had 4 large, heavy suitcases and 4 additional bags. All of the staff were very accommodating - the front desk and bar staff were particularly nice, always refilling me with ice whenever I asked. The hotel has a large FREE parking lot. Short taxi or Uber ride to the train station (25-30 minute walk). Lovely grounds to stroll around. Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever in the London area again! "

"Breakfast was excellent- glad I opted to adding it to my booking. Great location. Super convenient if you are on a 12 hours layover… the hop on shuttle was easy and very affordable and it gets you to and from the hotel and airport very easy and it’s only 10 minutes away. Overall a great experience."

"I will and can't wait to return to this property! It was a great base for my family and I for our stay near Gatwick airport. The rooms and beds were very clean and comfy. The staff was great, and even had a nice restaurant and bar. We did partake in breakfast, and it was sooo good - a great buffet style English breakfast, including tomatoes, mushrooms, and blood sausage. Plus there is an all-day cappuccino maker! We also ate well at a nearby pub. "

"We had a very nice stay at the hotel, staff are very friendly and can’t do enough for you. It was our wedding anniversary and they gave us a little cake to celebrate this, very thoughtful touch. Overall a lovely stay and would definitely visit again. "
