"Easy to find. Parking free and close to the hotel. Staff friendly and welcoming. Room was more of a suite than a room! Bed very comfortable so a really good place to stay. We were not bothered by poor reception for TV but this could be a concern for others. We enjoyed walking round the town and the inhouse meal rounded off our stay very nicely."

"Hotel in serious need of repairs. Complained regarding unacceptable water flow in shower, lack of hot water. Advised that it was an old building which had been complained about before on many review. They still mis-sell to customers. Very poor. Dinning was excellent. "

"I cannot understand why this is a four star hotel ! It does not have a proper dining room. Dinner in a dark and dingy bar and breakfast in a cafe. It is not properly licenced either. The bar closes at 9pm. I only found this out when I returned from a gig in Lanark at 10.30 hoping for a beer, only to find it locked up. I will not be going back and I certainly will not recommend it to anyone."
