The Lauriston Hotel

The Lauriston Hotel

8/10 Good
"The room was very small. The bathroom was tiny with nowhere to hang things, not even a toilet roll holder and the floor was quite dirty. However we had a lovely sea view. The staff were great and the breakfast was very good. We ate there, as there wasn’t anywhere else in the immediate vicinity to eat. The food was good. We had onsite parking."

Anchor Hotel

Anchor Hotel

8/10 Good
"Staff very helpful and able to deal with all questions. Good breakfast made to order and very good dinner in hotel restaurant. Free parking is available all along the street; all local amenities are easily accessible on foot. The internal fabric of the hotel is rather tired and worn, and would benefit from some refurbishment; fixtures and fittings show some - largely cosmetic - wear and tear which might be better maintained. This would make it more aesthetically attractive."

Portavadie

8/10 Good
"We had a lovely stay at Portavadie for 2 nights in one of the cottages. The setting is fantastic, the pools are well maintained and warm and the gym is well equipped for a good workout. The only criticism would be that the cottages are quite dated and could do with a bit of a facelift to compliment the price tag."

"We have absolutely loved our stay, it's been wonderful just to relax (and read!), and the children have had a wonderful time at the beach looking for wildlife. Added bonus was having a gorgeous piano to play. Would certainly love to come back, the host Patrick was so helpful with instructions and any queries.Thank you !"
