"We were welcomed by the owner, she is extremely lovely and kind. She took time to show us round, explaining how to use the log burner and hot tub.
We had an issue while there with the Wi-Fi not working and she responded to us straight away and sorted it for us very quickly.
The lodge itself is beautiful and spacious. The hot tub is amazing, and the view across the lake is even more amazing.
It is within driving distance of lots of places, and a supermarket to buy groceries.
Overall an amazing...

"Spent 3 nights in Cedar lodge at the end of August, had the most amazing relaxing time.
The hosts done everything possible to make the break a memorable stay. The lodge itself was very spacious and had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean, would go back again without hesitation."

Perfect for a overnight stop on our way down to Penzance, Roof was excellent as was the bed . A little noise from the busy main road but certainly not a problem. We would definitely stay here again and also dog friendly. Perfect!

I had a lovely stay and nothing was too much bother for Sue. Lots of choice for breakfast. I would happily stay here again. Even had a scarecrow trail whilst I was there with an amazing entry at the guesthouse.

Thoroughly recommend. Lovely rural part of Devon, the hotel is set in its own well maintained grounds, which is excellent for dog walking, our room was clean and comfortable, as was the breakfast and dining area which were both well set out, with plenty of space to accommodate dogs. Food was great, varied and plentiful. All staff were polite, efficient, and attentive, which helped to create a pleasant and chilled atmosphere.

A great stop over on the way to Cornwall
A nice welcome on arrival and we found our booking upgraded to a larger room.
A good selection of pies for dinner and fresh pastries and coffee for breakfast.
Fresh coffee and cafetière in the room was a nice touch.

Hidden away in the beautiful village of South Zeal, The Oxenham Arms is one of those places that feels like a real discovery. A stunning historic building surrounded by gorgeous gardens, it has all the charm you'd hope for from a proper country inn. What really makes it special, though, is the wonderful team – warm, welcoming and genuinely friendly from the moment you arrive. The room was tidy and clean but a little tired in places , possibly due to a busy season.
Breakfast was excellent , food in the bar was very good and prices were competitive .
The ambience in the bar was good. The quiz was good fun.
Excellent nights sleep .
Overall very good

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here. Breakfasts lovely
[ my favourite is the scrambled egg with smoked salmon ]
Suppers also delicious. Good menu selection with Sea Bass & Rump Steak being my choices ( on 2 different occasions - - I should add.! ). Dog friendly - which is important if you want to have your pooches with you which we did. Allocated a downstairs room which is delightful with excellent shower & loo facilities. Would we want to stay here again. You bet !! PRB

This is real gem, hidden away in the Devon countryside, at the end of long private driveway - with rather too many deep potholes, a danger to your car's tyres and suspension.
Once you're there you get get a warm welcome - all of the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms are quite spacious. and the beds are very comfortable.
Dining is a speciality, and though the portions may seem small to some, they are beautifully prepared and presented, preceded by tempting amuse-bouches served...

A beautiful hotel set in lovely gardens on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Very good standard of food. The classic room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Perfect for a relaxing break once you have negotiated the 1.5 mile single track road to the hotel!

This was just a stop over as we travelled to Devon but it was a lovely area and one we will consider again if we need to stop off. Chris and Sue were both very friendly, especially as we had to check in late. Breakfast is incredible! They were also incredibly accommodating for our little boy.
