"Strange checkin process, reception is at the Hub not in the Hotel, I may have missed communication on this but a lot of walking about just to check in Car chargers need bettering, current type have no instructions and no staff (5 of them) knew how they worked or more importantly released the cable!"

"Lovely cottage in a charming village. Had everything we needed for our stay, and the breakfast was a nice extra. Parking is on street, but there were always spaces available. Well placed to reach desired destinations, and with plenty of walks from the doorstep."

The property was like a home from home with everything catered for and some extra personal touches provided by the host, Sarah, for our stay. "We are a family of four - two adults and two children - plus the dog, and chose this cottage based on location and prior reviews. We stayed two weeks and it was great, were delighted to have a spacious kitchen/dining area and separate living room (this wasn't obvious from the pictures) as well as the courtyard at the back. The kitchen had everything we needed too. It is worth noting that the single bedroom is quite small but overall the cottage suited our needs perfectly. Chulmleigh village is really lovely, very friendly and all the essentials in the convenience store and some lovely other shops and pubs - we particularly enjoyed our meal at the Red Lion and our takeaway from the Tandoori! The location was fantastic also, very central and not difficult to get to any of the many beaches or other attractions. Thank you so much again Martin, we will definitely stay here again next time we visit Devon!"

"We had an amazing stay at the hotel. All staff in the hotel and spa were brilliant, friendly, and welcoming. Couldn’t fault our stay. The restaurant breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious. Perfect relaxing and quiet mini get away. We will be returning again."

"We needed somwhere near treetops escape as our son was getting married there. The lodge is just 3 miles from it so perfect. The balcony of the lodge faces out of the development so is not overlooked/overlooking others. We sat out there after dark and couldn't hear a thing. Silence. Just fabulous."
