The Royal Hotel

"An initial, disappointing start to our stay was quickly remedied, quietly, politely and professionally. From then on everything was so much better. The Hotel is probably a little understaffed (a reflection of the economic strains of current hospitality?) so often a Team member had to be searched out but once found were polite, attentive and friendly. Our room, a late booking so limited choice, was compact but nevertheless comfortable with an excellent rain shower in the bathroom and a good view of the river. We found a delightful lounge on the first floor from which we could watch the world go by as the river ebbed and flowed whilst enjoying the occasional glass of beer, or two!! Dinner on each night was a lovely occasion in a stylish dining room, well cooked food, nicely presented and served by delightful staff."

"Lovely cottage perfect for getting away from it all, either with kids or dogs the grounds are amazing to explore. Lynda was very accommodating and always on hand to help with anything but respects your privacy also. The cottage was spacious and full of character just perfect and very reasonable price for the summer hols. Had everything we needed.Only negative if any was the location it is quite a drive to the coast and nothing much locally to do but perfect for walking and enjoying the countyside if that’s what you want. Definitely recommend No Place."

"The stables is tucked away in the middle of nowhere which was perfect and what we were after. Quiet throughout, property was spacious, had everything you’d expect and need, even some doggy treats. Hosts were friendly and chatty we had a lovely time and even managed to watch the sunset from the comfort of the hot tub. What could be better, games room was not in the stables which wasn’t clear on the website but open throughout and we got plenty of use. Nice walk with the dogs down the woods, they loved it too, met holly the highland cow who was very friendly. It is usually a wedding venue and you can see why it was a beautiful spot and well done."

"We had an absolutely fantastic stay! From the moment we arrived, Stephen gave us a warm, incredibly friendly welcome and made us feel right at home immediately. We stayed in Room 3, which was immaculately clean and thoughtfully equipped with absolutely everything we could possibly need. The kitchen area was a brilliant touch, and we absolutely loved the generously sized bathroom and superb shower. Thanks to the wonderfully peaceful and quiet location, we enjoyed a brilliant, uninterrupted night's sleep in the massive, comfortable bed. To top it all off, we were treated to an amazing breakfast every morning. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and are already looking forward to staying here again sometime."

"What a weekend away! I visited here for the week me with a group of 10 adults and 5 children. It is our second visit and we were just as impressed as the first. Everything was so clean and tiny. The beds were well made, towels left in the bedrooms for use, the kitchen is nice, spacious and tidy. The upstairs lounge was perfect for us all to relax and play games in, as was the large table downstairs in the kitchen diner which was right next to a fire which heated the whole house!We made use of the hot tub which was toasty and cosy and the lake for a spot of fishing. We drove to Woolacome in around 45 minutes and Saunton Sands in 30 minutes for a spot of surfing too. We would recommend Mole Hall to anyone wanting to visit. The owners are also very kind and you can tell they have put their heart into this place. Thanks again."
