"we stayed in many places around the park, from Jackson to West to Red Lodge, and this by far was our favorite and most comfortable. The owner called me by name every time we met. The bed was the most comfortable of all the places during our 4 day adventure. Its cost, rustic feel was perfect. A storm rolled in and the whole town lost power but it was remedied quickly by him turning on their generator to ensure we had a safe accessible evening. "We had an incredibly relaxing vacation. This little cabin by Soda Butte Creek was just what we needed to unwind and relax. We have no complaints, if you enjoy the outdoors this will be paradise for you. A few suggestions for guests: pickup groceries near your airport, there’s not much available in Silver Gate and Cooke City and point your binoculars toward the mountains and enjoy the mountains goats."

"We came to visit YSNP. The cabin was excellent. It had all the necessities in order to feel at home away from home: the queen size bed was so comfy; the bathroom had a dryer and washer, and bathroom essentials from washing detergent to extra towels; the kitchen was ideal to cook a home cook meal after a whole day of exploring Yellowstone. "Silver Gate Lodging is located only 2-3 miles from the NE entrance to Yellowstone. The room has been remodeled and was comfortable. The property manager greeted us promptly at the counter in the General Store. She gave us a quick rundown of other businesses nearby for food, coffee, etc. She offered free internet while sitting on the General Store front porch. The other guests were very friendly with a community type atmosphere around the fire pit. The Log Cabin Cafe across the road is delicious...

"This is an older motel but very clean. It is the perfect place to unplug. Even if you dont want to. This wasn't a big deal for me but it might be for others. The only place the wifi works is at the office/camp store, no cell service and no tv's. It was very relaxing to sit around the camp fire each night. The rooms are clean but small. The shower was also very small."
