Great little cabin. Perfect location for exploring Yellowstone and has all the basics. The only thing missing would be a wood stove or fireplace, but I can understand why this would be a big ask, given its basement location.
Cute, quaint mining town with friendly people, a great historical museum, and a great place to stop as a mid point - take a drive through Beartooth Hey to Red Lodge and then on another day checkout and go to Cody, Wy- East side of Yellowstone
Great hosts and location! Right next to the trail out of town, which was very helpful given the warm spring conditions, didn't have to ride down dirt or pavement to get out of town. Weather was a bit warmer than I would have liked, but can't control that.
Cooke City is a beautiful, quaint little mountain town. Limited restaurants, but they are good. Fox Den cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that is it quite small. There are beds for 5, but it felt crowded with just 2 people. Hosts were extremely helpful and quick to respond to messages.

Great location, only about 4 miles from the NE entrance to Yellowstone. Dining options and gas stations near by in Cooke were convenient. Cabin had everything we needed, nothing fancy. Bathroom and kitchen could of been cleaner. Overall nice stay.
Perfect place to enjoy Cooke City, after enjoying a drive down Beartooth Pass. Town has food establishments, and stores, within walking distance. Loved the local coffee shop! Clean, perfect amount of room for the 4 of us. The owners are very good at quick responses, and gave us information to help us navigate the area, since we had never been out West. 100% Recommend this place!
We came to visit YSNP. The cabin was excellent. It had all the necessities in order to feel at home away from home: the queen size bed was so comfy; the bathroom had a dryer and washer, and bathroom essentials from washing detergent to extra towels; the kitchen was ideal to cook a home cook meal after a whole day of exploring Yellowstone. Travis and Lindsey were friendly and responsive to our requests/questions so fast!! Thanks for your hospitality and for sharing your cabin with us.
Stopover while touring the Beartooth Highway/Lamar Valley
We stayed two nights while touring the Lamar Valley and sightseeing on the Beartooth Highway. The bedroom had a king size bed and was very comfortable. The other room included a bunk bed were our son and his friend slept. The bathroom was very nice and there was a washer/dryer unit that came in handy. The kitchen was also very functional and allowed us to enjoy breakfast and pack a lunch before heading out. This unit was clean. I have to say that it fit our needs very well!
If you are looking for the perfect place to stay to access the Northeast Yellowstone Entrance look no further. This is the ideal place. I’m less than 10 minutes you will be in Yellowstone and in our opinion the best part of the park to see wildlife, Lamar Valley. Plenty of room for a family of 3-4. Kitchen is small but has everything you need. Washer and dryer were a plus. Less dirty clothes to travel with. General store down the road has everything you need. Make sure you try anything and everything with huckleberries. Perfect little town

Fox Den Cabin
The location was accurately described however, the name of the structure was never mentioned in the directions to find the house.
Street signs were sparse. The accommodations were clean. No outdoor space to sit. Would suggest a couple of camping chairs to take with guests when visiting Park area to sit and enjoy the nature surrounding the park. Grill not easily accessible to Fox den residence suggest a, more neutral spot.Overall, a good experience. Thanks for hosting. more neutral spot.
An absolutely perfect place for a base to explore the park and the Beartooth! The cabin is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay with beautiful mountains surrounds you. 6 stars if we could
This apartment had everything my husband and I and our adult son needed. It was comfortable, clean, roomy, and well-equipped. The washer and dryer were a bonus, allowing us to do laundry after long days hiking in the park. Also, its location is within a block’s walk to shops and restaurants, and a short drive to Yellowstone’s NE entrance! Great place.
