"This is a very charming place situated right in the center of “Darrowby”. The inn has a beautiful garden and the breakfast is tasty and well done. The innkeeper Lynn was the best example of hospitality we have ever had, coming to the rescue when our rental car had a flat tire in a remote area. She really embodies the reputation of how lovely the people are in the Yorkshire Dales, and took extra care to make sure our car troubles didn’t ruin the vacation."

"Great location in the village. The breakfast was beautiful. So tasty. The room was lovely and the shower was powerful. Plenty of room. The only downside was that it was right on the road and very noisy from early on. Not the hotels fault but recycling woke us up before 7am. The road is fairly quiet but you can hear everything. It’s a lovely venue though and the staff are a credit to the place."

"the staff were friendly and professional when we checked in. our room was clean overall, but did have some old cobwebs and a bit of dust. the bed was clean and comfortable. the bathroom was clean, but the extractor fan was quite dusty, the shower had good water pressure. breakfast was a simple affair, coffee, tea, fruit juice, a few cereal choices, yoghurt, berries, croissants and bread, the only hot food was sausages. we also ate dinner here on both nights of our stay, there was a good selection of meals, all meals we had were very tasty. they don't seem to advertise they serve evening meals, we only saw one review stating that they do serve food in the evenings."

"Nice hotel in a beautiful location on the edge of the market square in Masham. The staff were really friendly and our room was good, it's a shame the bar closes early, we were up there for a gig at the Town Hall and wanted a drink afterwards with our friends, luckily the Bruce Arms were very accommodating. A nice place to stay, a shame there were no biscuits in the rooms for your afternoon cuppa though."
