"What was nice was the location to the town and local attractions. However it is on the flight path so noisy. Our room ( 17) was nice and comfortable but the bed was hard as were the pillows so do take your own if you have a particular type you like. The bath was nice and the staff were friendly as was check in. Parking was terrible as it is the pub car park people were blocking others in and this is quite a locals bar so I think they seemed to all know the system. Sad as there is on road parking...

"Very unique and pleasant hotel/pub. Very comfortable and clean bed and bedding. Enjoyed the Sunday roast dinner specials. Breakfast was very good. Central location in a very walkable village. Transportation by local bus to Stansted airport was quick (about 1 hour), stop just down the street and cost was 2£ each. Great way to get to the airport, scenic drive in the countryside."

"Having mobility issues, I spent the night in their accessible room, adjacent to reception. Fitted out appropriately, I enjoyed a soak in the bath before retiring to the comfortable bed. No issues. Even enjoyed a bit of banter with the staff."
