"Hotel was comfortable, room larger than expected & shown in photos. Rooms overlooking the car park can be a little noisy, and affected by the smell of smoke, but that is due to inconsiderate people rather than a hotel issue!"

"I liked so much of it. Draw back for me as a 62 yr old woman travelling alone was the dining experience. Both at dinner and breakfast I was put in the middle of the room where I felt vulnerable. I did say something but they said it was what they had available. I did book a month or two ago so this wasn’t a last minute thing. I guess there will be those whose who don’t understand my concerns but there will be many others that will get it totally. Otherwise the room and lounges were all excellent."

"The parking was easy & we walked everywhere in the town so didn’t use the car at all. The staff in the bar were friendly and helpful. We ate there both nights."

"There was nothing fundamentally wrong with the stay, but the room I believed I was booking was certainly mis-represented. The description states that each room is individually decorated and individually furnished, yet the walls in our ‘deluxe’ room (one up from ‘standard’) were all plain cream, 1 picture hung, no bedside cabinets, just small metal shelves……just not very enticing, which is very different from all the photos on the listing, even the ‘standard’ rooms are shown to have boutique style wallpaper and furnishings…..which is why I booked. On checking out when I mentioned this, I was just advised….‘I’ll pass on to the manager’, nothing more. Just a bit disappointing, which was a shame."

"Freindly staff Clean comfortable bed Our room was not as clean as I would expect was not hoovered properly and a dirty spoon like dried up yogurt or something on it . Could do with hand towels as well as bath towels "

"This is a very pleasant hotel, ideally situated for those arriving in Skipton by train. It's virtually the first thing you see when leaving the station. It's a ten minute stroll into the town centre, past a former cotton mill, and there's an alternative route via the attractive canal towpath, easily accessible from the rear of the hotel. My room was a single, very comfortable with an en suite shower, with a Juliet balcony overlooking the canal. Breakfast was good and all staff were pleasant and attentive.I didn't use the restaurant but I'm sure that's a good option if you don't want to walk into town in the evening. "
