We stayed for a business trip and tagged a couple of days holiday on the end. This hotel is excellently located in a lovely tree lined street, close to all the major attractions. The 360 degree bar gives excellent views of Barcelona.
Nice hotel with metro access outside front door. Walking distance to the Ramblas. Very friendly helpful front desk staff. Modern large rooms with laminate flooring. Close to many restaurants. Fast free wi-fi.
We arrived earlier than the check in time but were able to leave our luggage in the hotel (They have big lockers for $2 euros) and during that free time we did the hop on/hop off bus which has one of the stops couple block down next to the marina. At the reception desk they were able to give us information and maps.
The hotel is located near the beginning of the famous las Ramblas, couple steps from the subway and also la boqueira market, gothic neighborhood, so it is perfect if you just want to walk around.
The hotel is currently under renovation so you may hear some noise during the day, but at night is very quiet although i read here that some rooms you were able to hear the noise from the street.
Our room was super new and clean, quiet and the standard suite was the perfect size since we were only there to sleep. The bathroom has little toiletries, hair dryer... The whole hotel has wi-fi and 2 computer downstairs free to use.
The hotel does not have a restaurant but they do serve breakfast for $11 euros, offering great variety of breads, pastries. fruits, cereal etc.
There is a restaurant next door that connects to the hotel but it's not part of it . It has tables on the sidewalk but it was a little expensive. There are lots of other restaurant options in the same street, and the for lunch you can walk to the La Boqueira market to see a variety of options for lunch like empanadas, fruit cups, nuts even chinese..
I think it is a great deal and would stay there again.
Nice design. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff. as central as can be. Exceeded my expectations from a 3 star hotel. Defitally great value! My one complaint is that the mattresses were sagging in the middle. and you need to make sure the beds aren't separate if you don't want that.
Barcelona's Old Town, the Ciutat Vella takes in the Barri Gòtic and the world-famous promenade of Las Ramblas. The former is the city's medieval core, a maze of atmospheric alleyways clustered around the splendid Gothic Cathedral. Quirky specialist shops and characterful bars and eateries abound. Don't miss the Museu Picasso and the Museu d'Història de la Ciutat, as much for their palatial settings as their content.
