"Hotel is nice and in good location, but it has a ridiculous policy that no visitors are allowed. That policy should be clearly stated when you are booking a room. I was in town visiting my daughter who lives in Spain, we would come into the room to grab something or use the restroom and they kicked my daughter out every time. Stating that no visitors are allowed, never have I ever stayed at an hotel with that policy. "

Hostal Dolcevita
2.5 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very good, (547)
"Helpful staff nearly always available. Very clean and beds made for us each day. On one early morning the lock jammed shut n the only toilets/shower available, with no one inside, and it took time for us to realise that no one was inside; so the facilities were out of use for an hour. However once the reception was staffed the staff sorted out the problem very quickly. Overall this was a very good place to stay, exceptionally convenient, and I would strongly recommend it."

SmartRental Chueca
3.5 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (43)
"Location is fabulous ... staff are quick to respond and deal with your enquiries promptly. The apartment is decent but some of the items are very dated, safe didn't work, back door didn't lock etc etc. Also frustrating that you pay the same amount per day but they only clean before and after, then display charges on wall for extra cleaning. Also towels are only one per stay, they have a washing up machine but if I'm on holiday, this seems like taking the mickey. Shops and restaurants...

Room Pride Hostal
2.0 star property
6.8 out of 10, (48)
"Room Pride Hostal was good value for the price I paid (€245 for Wednesday-Monday). I was in room 4. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very small but the shower had excellent water pressure. Room Pride Hostal is a stone’s throw from Gran Via, 10 minutes walk from El Retiro, the Museo Del Prado and right in the heart of Chueca. The only downside I would mention, is I did briefly hear some of the music from the bar downstairs on Friday night, but it didn’t last...
