The staff were very friendly, welcoming and contactable at all times, the accommodation was clean and very comfortable, everything we needed was in the room.
There was plenty to choose from for breakfast whether hot or cold and all hot food was cooked to order.

We had a drink in the bar before we went out, and we both said we wished we were staying at the hotel for dinner as the service was brilliant. The personal touch made a huge difference.

It was a fantastic little place and very welcoming on arrival. In fact, my partner thought it to be a suitable place to ask to marry him. There is a lovely garden where you can enjoy a nice cup of tea and then breakfast was incredibly generous. Had a lovely stay in this apartment . It was excellent. Very very clean and comfortable, with everything you could need and a lot of little extras. Just a couple of steps over to the clifftop in Barton on sea. Would definitely stay again.

There is limited parking at the hotel and involves a bit of tetris parking, however I cannot see how this could be resolved given the location and size of the hotel. The Chocolate Box was one of a few hotels that included some on site parking, there is a paid car park near by as well , you just need to be prepared in advance of the possibility of not getting parked on...

Initial impressions were how lovely and clean the lobby and reception area was. We were greeted by a friendly happy receptionist with fantastic customer service and a lovely smile. Our bedroom was lovely and clean though looked like the decorator was over enthusiastic painting the wall and blotting it over the ceiling giving a bit of a tacky look. Other than that I really can't fault it.
We ate dinner in the restaurant area, good selection of food and again spotlessly clean and wonderful happy...

The Room in the Garden is a lovely space, it was clean, the large bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was spacious and great, especially in the hot weather. In the room was a coffee machine with coffee pods, tea and milk and a TV.
Outside was a lovely shaded patio where we enjoyed a welcome cup of tea when we arrived, and a freshly prepared, very tasty light breakfast the following morning.
The owners and their dog were very friendly and helpful, providing a fan to cope with the heat...
