"I thought it was such an interesting hotel, obviously steeped in history, which is captured well in its decor and design. The look and feel of it is warm and inviting. The flooring on the second floor seems a bit weak, but other than that, everything was fine. The bed was smaller than what we're used to, but comfortable, the bathroom clean and the temperature pleasant with the window cracked. The front desk staff were very helpful when we needed something or had questions about getting around the city and sight-seeing. We only wished we'd been able to grab a fast, affordable continental breakfast - even just a pastry - before we headed out the door. Would like to stay there again someday!"

"The room was extremely noisy. All night either air conditioning units or cooling systems were running. I had approx 3 hours sleep"

"Room clean as usual, just one thing, the bathroom shower screen could do with a clean. Cooked breakfast was huge!! Good choice on the menu. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Went out of their way to help. Parking was ok. "

"I booked two rooms, one for myself the other for my son. When we arrived we were given keys to our respective rooms and another for external door entry outside of opening hours. My key was just loose with no number. We were told that we could have a drink at the bar but needed to go immediately as it was about to close. The nice young lady who booked us in appeared to serve drinks. We sat down to have our beers on stained and tacky looking chairs and a large dog appeared and came and joined us.. We are both dog lovers and the dog was friendly, however, if you were afraid of dogs this would not have been a good experience. Both our rooms were shocking, unclean and in a state of what I can only describe as disrepair. When I got up and went to get something from my care at 7.30 and shut the front door as I went out I assumed that the key I had been given to let myself in would do just that, it didn't! We left without having breakfast!"

"Room was very clean and more than suitable. The bar was had a good range however, asked for a Irish coffee made with whiskey and it was undrinkable But would definitely stay again "

"Great hotel. Lovely rooms with everything needed. Nice food in the restaurant and friendly staff throughout. Loved the parking option too. Would definitely stay again next month"
